i need to install xp pro on my system for work but the cd-rom won't read it when i try and boot to cd-rom. it only happens with the xp cd. i've tried multiple cd's all same. when i boot to cdrom with ubuntu cd in, it fires right up. anyone have any ideas to what the problem is? thanks in advance.

Sounds like an issue with the cd itself imo, have you looked it over for scratches and such?
